(Advance warning: having just completed a large project, I’m taking a little time to catch up on things, including investigating ways of improving the way I get things done. There may be a couple of tech/geek posts in the not-too-distant future…)
I still don’t have a copy of Office on any of my Macs. I tend to use text files for any of the writing I do, and I can view just about any doc or spreadsheet that anyone sends me comfortably via Dropbox, Bean or number of other native Mac apps. Google Docs is an obvious option, and with the recent launch of things like Google drive, you may wonder what an app like Collections can offer. Simply put, I’m still not 100% comfortable with editing docs and spreadsheets in a browser. The fact that Collections is a native Mac app for interacting with (and not just viewing, but EDITING, even offline) Google Docs is particularly interesting. Now trialling.
