Taylor Mali - How To Write a Political Poem →
Loving it. Going through Indiefeed’s archive - trying to clear out some old stuff. Have to admit, although I know the name, I’m not all that familiar with Taylor’s work, but this one’s a great example of a self-aware performance poet, able to poke some fun at the form, and yet still make a serious point (or two, or three…)
βAt 10, I did THE FREAK with Nikki Keys
In a stairway at the Blumberg Housing Projects

Like a pair of park pigeons. We could have crushed
pebbles, thrown fine specks of dust
At the moon.β

Sci-fi. Short fiction excerpt. Translated (from Polish, I think?). Came across the story after finding the animated film that was based on it. Hallelujah.
